stquinto
Big brew day today. Double batch of Old Windsor Peculier, which is Old Perc but with Windsor yeast. 9kg + grain bill, full up to the gunards, dunno how I’m going to get 20l sparge water in Glad I could get 15A installed for the heater, heats up a beaut. Cheers for the tip @ozdevil The mill master ripped though the lot in about 6 minutes. Thanks for that tip @Itinerant Peasant Edited September 18, 2022 by stquinto Typo

That crushed grain looks almost good enough to eat. 1

Might mess up the OG, not sure if it’ll be rocket fuel or less strong. Find out soon enough !

RDT2
Munich Dunkel again today made 28 litres 19 for my mate who did some work on my car and the rest for my dad. All worked out pretty well was one down on the OG my hydrometer reads four low. Dropped it on the yeast cake hopefully it contains itself within the fermenter . Might regret not using collar but I don’t think it fits in the fridge!

stquinto
All done. OG spot on at 1.054. Good job I only sparged with 10 litres. Final volume was spot on 38 litres too. Pretty dark brew, and got quite a bit of overflow grain. Didn’t block the pump though

My Grandad made the best Pork Pies with them. The best Pork went into the pastry ( pastry made with lard ) then trotters used for gelitan and poured into the pie. It was a pie made in heaven.
