Mine is clearly more carbonated, and it retained the head in the glass the whole beer through. The commercial version seems to have a yeast aroma whereas my homebrew version is similar but has more fruitiness. The commercial version has milder bitterness The commercial has a gentle malty flavour with a hint of fruitiness My HB version is more fruity flavoured. I like them both, even if not identical. Great, Shamus, I like the look of yours too, well done. 2

The only problem with a short time in between dry hopping and packaging is that the hops can be a problem at bottling of kegging if they are still floating around. The chux or a cold crash helps that. Sounds like you've got that sorted
Malter White
Simple pleasures. At home with Barrie the dog watching the cricket and the nags, sinking schooners (aka SA scab pints) of Innkeepers Daughter sparkling ale. Just a kegged KnK of IDSA and a tin of light malt extract. Simple and delicious. The rest of the family have gone away, leaving me in solitude. I won't say I couldn't be happier but I'm certainly not unhappy. Cheers and go Aussies! 8

Shamus O'Sean
Another side-by-side taste test. My Japanese Rice Lager versus a genuine article. Aroma-wise, theirs has a little more banana but a little less citrus Both have very mild bitterness and flavour Mine has a tiny bit of citrus tartness, but theirs has a little bit more All in all, they are very close Not sure what yeast they use, but mine was a Czech Budejovice yeast Both are lovely to drink Ii is hard to split the two, but theirs is marginally more to my liking I used Coopers glasses because the bottle says that the Sapporo is brewed under licence by Coopers. 9

I sterilised the blender and mushed up 500g of fresh cherries (washed them first, nothing else). More than happy with the result, but would put 1kg in next time. I didn’t have any problem with infection… didn’t make me sh*t through the eye of a needle in any case 2
