Braeside Brewing Co - Mixed Berry Compass Sour

The can says it contains Strawberry and Blackberry puree.  I can pick up the strawberry in the aroma.  A little bit of citrus from whatever hops are in it.

Plenty of carbonation, but does not hold a head.

Pleasant fruity flavour and then the sour kicks in.  It is a deep lingering sour, rather than a short sharp zing.

Nice subtly pink/red tinge of colour.

not real fan of sours

not much of head   to your beer but i think thats the style of sours they dont hold the head or retention well.

but looks a great colour

Supernova IPA

Bitter on first mouthful, then a tropical kind of taste to it.

‘No explanation on the can of the ingredients.

‘Nice looking can though.

‘Not bad, clocks in at 6.8 % ABV.

Hey RD that looks pretty strong the artwork on the glass is coming off !

I looked it & here is what I found, just ask Dr Phil 🤣

Tropical punch. Smooth bitterness. Luscious mouthfeel.

Our Supernova IPA is a bright, tropical IPA with notes of tangerine, mango, lychee, pine and green pepper. A champagne supernova of flavours that hits the palate with a powerful aromatic punch.

Yeah the glass logo has done its work over the years 🤣🤣

Could definitely taste tangerine & pine notes.

Many thanks to Dr Phil 😉😉

Bentspoke Brewing Co - Budding Cells creation - Flemm Flanders Red Ale

Funky, well over-ripe fruit, slightly off aroma.

Complex flavour, malt, plum, chocolate, oaky.  Has a sour taste that lingers.

They make great beers.  They are experimenting with barrel aging and mixed culture fermentation with wild yeasts and bacteria under the offshoot label Budding Cells.

My son got it for me for Father's Day from Harvest Cellars in Belgrave South.  They are about 10 minute walk from home.  They always have a great variety of different beers.
