Yeah, great hearty comfort food @Classic Brewing Co. Don't fret it will only be a little time till we are all sweltering again!

jennyss
Agreed @terminal2k; And I was just thinking I must stop checking 'What's on the Menu' before I've had breakfast. The soup, the fish, the pasta! Yum 2

No need for the bugles mate TBH it wasn’t the best. A bit gamey, and not necessarily in a good way. Never mind, a bit more space in the freezer … 2

Yeah it is a topic that comes up regularly, I was taught 6 months if it was frozen properly but we have all left them in there longer, my personal opinion is a maximum of 12 months, again if it is frozen properly, I know some will disagree but there is nothing worse when someone pulls out some steaks with freezer burn covered in ice looking all blue it can actually make you crook. JoeB7
Wrap ya laughin' gear 'round a burrito & red ale. I like this ale. Nice malty "BEER" taste with a lingering bitter & something like an unsweet prune with a little char, but not smokey 5

How Long Can Steak Stay in the Fridge or Freezer? As a fridgy we were taught after 3 months it's only good for a stew or the dog. Quite an interesting read too... @Classic Brewing Co I'm sure 6 months is better than 12 but if the steak is well covered (cling film then sous vide ideally, if not just sous vide) at least you won't get freezer burn. I've found a year is OK all the same. I recognise that 18 months was too much, but I didn't want to bin it. Classic Brewing Co
Something different tonight, a seafood marinara without a sauce, the funny colour is a red wine/garlic/chilli combo it was cooked on. Doesn't look appetising but the flavour was awesome.
