MitchBastard
Currently checking out Vietnam. While you can get ya stock standard tiger, Saigon export, 333 and other Asian beers for $1.50 aus, I have had some luck in finding some more exotic beeries. local craft bar called chicken coop has the whole selection of “rooster beers” what I’m assuming is a local craft set up. Decent beers. The ipa was their best and at $7 a pint you can’t really complain compared to Aus prices. I also found a fridge full of Stone and rogue at a swanky pizza bar.not bad. and finally, Vietnam’s bintang 5

MitchBastard
Last night in Vietnam and I found the East west brewing co. Little micro joint in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City. Rather refreshing on the pallet after 11 days of cheap beer. the pale ale was my pick
Naughty Corner Brewing
Both beers tonight courtesy of my local craft brewery. The first was the their session IPA. Excellent beer and belies the mid strength label. All the hops I like, great malty body. The second was a limited release Imperial Porter. I didn’t get a photo, but black as night and huge malt backbone. Good hit of alcohol but not over the top, more like a good liquer with a mixer. Big mouthfeel and definitely drinkable. Love the labels on the limited release range.

Naughty Corner Brewing
This is the latest small release Counter Culture release from Stone and Wood. Total Galaxy hop bomb. Take Pacific Ale and feed it a absolute shit load of roids, and this is what you get. Very Yum!

Big IBUs but not over the top. Big aroma and taste though, guessing very late hopped to give that amount of it without going nuts on the bitterness. Body isn’t huge, but well balanced. Galaxy, galaxy and more galaxy! The best of the Counter Culture so far, but maybe a bit safe on that side, given their last one was bloody terrible. Naughty Corner Brewing
Local BWS had Coopers Session ale reduced the other night so grabbed a 6’er. Such a great beer, forgot how much I liked it.
Naughty Corner Brewing
Had a try of this last night from Brendale Brewing. Wow! Great beer, big hops, probably my favourite IPA I’ve had. Very crisp and clean, great hop flavours but not over the top bitterness. Wish I could share how good it tasted, but I’ll just have to drink the other three to be sure.

My last AG Pale Ale was pretty good, I’ve not made an IPA yet as I’ve only just actually started to enjoy them and found a few really good examples. But there might be one on the way fairly soon.
MitchBastard
Today’s effort. I really like this brewery. 7 mile. Ballina based. Super aromatic as you would expect only being canned a week ago. Had that Diesel scent about it. However there wasn’t much head retention.....not sure if wet hops introduce more oils that hinder head retention? My glass was clean.

MitchBastard
Had these two yesterday. ToOl from Belgium. The black can is a NEIPA and the multicoloured can an XPA. the NEIPA was absolutely sensational. Far out. It made the xpa seem average but only because the NEIPA was so good. Both solid beers. I’ve never drink a beer so slow to try and savour it. Highly recommend.
