Hey Hairy!

Mate was stoked to see the brew - am really pleased to see the guys are still doing their thing even given the current trouble and strife - great news!

And given everything else I have ever had from Mark and Matt at RP I will be suggesting that it was very tasty!!?!!

Yeah, I like supporting local.

I bought a mixed case with the IPA, American Pale Ale and the stout too.

Nice mate - very nice.  And really happy to hear the Lads are still cranking good beer out down there on the Plains!

Shoot! I’ve got a beer named after me!

If I see the sun I burn! 😂

Ha ha mate you'll have to get a slab or two... they are good boys Rusty Penny and nice to see them still alive in these tough times!  At least @Hairy is not too far away to keep slurping a few of their lovely brews!

Trooper XPA - Nomad Brewing - 440ml can; 4.5% ABV; Can conditioned.

Hoppy aroma.  Tropical. Passiona-like.

High carbonation.

Very sessionable flavour.  Good maltiness and bitterness - medium/high.  Well balanced.  This is a nice beer.  Sure, it is a promo thing and I probably paid a premium for the licencing.  But Nomad have made a good beer.  I would much rather this than "Oh look, another lager".

I can see a "Red 'Riff' Ale" & a "Westie-Heifer-Weizen" in the pipeline

@Hairy jumping head first into a carton of the unknown takes a decent sized pair of beans.

Ha ha. There isn’t much I wouldn’t drink.

Plus $65 a case is great for quality beer.

  • 2 weeks later...

I called into Block’n’Tackle Brewery at Kincumber yesterday and picked up a few four packs.

A Marzen, Pale Ale, Amber Ale and Porter. The Marzen wasn’t bad, the pale ale is a really solid pale ale but the Amber is a cracking beer.
