@BlackSands  I am into photography as well bit I detect areas of professionalism in your product sample, it takes knowledge & a good equipment to produce exposures like that.

I suspect AV mode in Raw has been employed, looks reaal great, well done.

Yup.  Though I'm actually shooting with an antiquated 16.2MP Nikon DSLR - about 8-9 years old now!   And while it's now well past is best-by date with a few issues it still does the job - well good enough for the above at least! And, I've also done a ton of photography for a local elder care organisation in the last couple of years and they're certainly happy enough with the 1.5m canvas prints they're getting from the camera.  I do want to replace it however -  just for my own gratification if nothing else! 🤓

Wow that's awesome, absolutely great shots, colours are spot on. I use a Canon 60D 18 1mp with various lenses ( worth more than the body ) I shoot in RAW format, Manual Mode mainly.

Aperture Proirity mode takes a lot more skill & the right light - I used it when I could but most of the work I got paid for was photos of Pubs to be printed on Stubby Holders, Bar Mats etc so I was pretty much on the road moving from town to town, state to state etc so hanging around for the perfect exposure wasn't an option. I enjoy photography but the attached photos show a lot of the detail is lost due to the type of fabric they are printed on.

Cheers

Phil

Probably the best way to do it, Stickers. If you win - ripper. If you lose - a cheap day's entertainment.

I just bought this today at auction. It's a 12 seater minibus but I intend to take 8 seats out and convert it to a campervan. I've been lucky enough to have travelled overseas a few times in the past decade but my passport is about to expire. I figure it's time to show the wife some of Australia as well.

Well there I was thinking I got myself a bargain. A nice, big van with high roof and low kms for it's age. Turns out it had a stuffed transmission/clutch. Adding to the problem it is an ASM - auto shifting manual, a feature Ford no longer put in their vans because of their propensity to fail. Took it to an auto trans repairer and a Ford dealer and neither could or would repair or replace it. Eventually I found a repairer in my home city but the repair cost more than the purchase price. It's still a good buy at under $10K but it's double of what I'd intended. Anyway she's running like a dream now. Now the work begins to convert it to campervan.

Well after 3 years and a few holidays and house moves for family and friends, the bus transmission has sh1t itself again. I don't think to the same extent as when I first bought it with a clapped out clutch. It appears to be an electrical fault of some kind and the gears just won't engage. It has a push button gear changing set up.
The last few months had been reasonably good financially and we'd been making some massive dents in our debt levels. I guess it was too good to be true. Back to the garage we go. 😞

Can't you swap out the problematic manualmatic for a real gear system?

That was suggested to me by Re-Car, the transmission "specialist" at St Agnes when I first bought it.
He said, "You're better off taking that Athol Park Ford Wreckers and changing it to a manual."
I asked, "How much will that cost?"
Reply,  "About 6 grand."
I wasn't prepared to spend more than the purchase price to do that. As it turned out the repair was only just less than the purchase price.
Without having much mechanical/tech aptitude myself, I reckon the computer might need reprogramming to get the gear changing buttons communicating to the transmission correctly again. Mechanically it was going fine.
The biggest issue for me now is not trusting the bus any more and fearing a break down in a remote area. Think I'll get this problem sorted and put her on the market.

Sounds like a plan - man gotta be able to trust his steed, particularly if SWMBO is in it. 😄

Have you tried disconnecting the batteries which may allow the computer and other things to reset. Leave them off for a couple of minutes then reconnect. May help.

It's a shame really because it has been a valuable vehicle. Only two days ago we used it to help a friend move house.
Moved my son and his GF to Sydney in it a few years ago. Plus the holidays we've used it for. My goal when I bought it was get 100 nights accommodation in it. My rough calculations said each night we spend in the van is about $100 a night saved in a hotel or BnB. 100 x $100 = $10K = bus pays for itself. Probably only done about 20 nights in it but if I added up the savings made on house moves, not paying for delivery of bulky items etc. I reckon I'm close to even.

Windows has a lot to answer for - the whole "turn it off and turn it on again" has become the mantra for electronic gear. 😄

Thanks Pickles. I have considered that and was going to do that this morning but it's been raining all morning and I didn't fancy walking in it. It broke down on the way home from work last night about 2 km from home and that's where it's sitting currently.
I'm also really hoping that's all it needs too. I don't fancy another repair bill.

It's S.O.P. for my job, JM. My job is to drive a bus, not fix them. So when they break down our first thing is to call the depot. The depot will then respond with, "Have you tried a shut down yet?"
I'm not sure how a shut down will help a flat tyre but that's what they respond with. LOL

Hey BS, as you may or may not be aware I work in the TV and Film game professionally. Can I just say mate, that your pic is stunning. I'd be happy to have that hanging on my wall at home.
