Ever watched one of those boring YouTube home-brewing tutorials?

I watched a home brewing video by a different guy yesterday. Literally had to have youtube play it at 1.5x speed to make it bearable.

What was in the saucepan that you poured into the bottling bucket?

It looked to be priming sugar

That's what I thought.  Wait until some of the brew has transferred into the secondary container, chuck in the boiled priming sugar (barely cooled at all) then keep transferring to the secondary.  The hot priming liquid does not have time to kill yeasties because it cools very quickly added to a greater volume of 20 degree brew.  If you put the hot priming liquid in first and then start transferring a greater amount of yeast is exposed to the hot water and could die.  I think I read that's how KR (Fast Homebrew) does it.
