Don't know off the top of my head but I've gotten Cascade and Centennial pretty cheap. The shipping gets cheaper per kg the more you buy but I usually just stick to 4 pounds/1.8kg. Although I still have my hop drawer in the olds second freezer at their place I suppose, so I could always store excess hops there and take them as needed. Wait until some of the brew has transferred into the secondary container, chuck in the boiled priming sugar (barely cooled at all) then keep transferring to the secondary. The hot priming liquid does not have time to kill yeasties because it cools very quickly added to a greater volume of 20 degree brew. If you put the hot priming liquid in first and then start transferring a greater amount of yeast is exposed to the hot water and could die. Otto Von Blotto Posted November 19, 2018 Share Posted November 19, 2018 I used to put varying temperature priming solution straight into the bottling bucket and transfer into it. Every batch carbonated the same.
