Beerlust
IPA 67 looks very appetising Ben. 8 minutes ago, Ben 10 said: Estimated OG: 1.067 SG Estimated Color: 18.2 EBC Estimated IBU: 67.8 IBUs... ...25.00 g Mosaic (HBC 369) [14.20 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 4 35.0 IBUs - You must get a bit of bite from your no-chill whirlpool/steep hop additions or just like them a bit more fruity than I do. With my methods I have to aim for 2/3 to 3/4 of my total IBU count from the long boil addition for a true bittered IPA. Nice looking recipe, I hope you dry hop it nicely to compliment what should be a lovely beer to drink once on the pour. Best of luck with it. Lusty. ben 10
As we both know numbers are a guide hey! I guess the volume/ method thing MUST come into play. As we both like each others beers surely we are getting similar results?

As we both like each others beers surely we are getting similar results? Maybe we need to send each other an IPA from the same OG mark? I've got sh!te loads of hops an hand atm, so set an OG mark & I'll brew one up. Don't get too crazy though, my small volume boils can only handle so much. That said, I can cheat if you want to go real high IBU-wise.... Cheers, Lusty. Edited August 7, 2019 by Beerlust

Beerlust
10 minutes ago, The Captain!! said: Tetra hops???? Everyone can cheat with those........ No Mr. AG smarty pants. As an extract based brewer, I'd use a pre-hopped kit with minimal influences to add the intended extra bitterness. The Coopers AUS Pale Ale kit would be my choice as a substitute for a normal un-hopped extract base. 5 minutes ago, Ben 10 said: Mosaic? Do something similar to that if you can.... Like your last listed recipe? Of all the hops I have in the fridge atm, Mosaic ain't one of them LOL! I can get some though. Once my current brew isn't occupying the brew fridge, I'll do my best to make my slight bittering change to mimic your current listed IPA recipe. Fair enough? Cheers, Lusty. Then at some point realised 'this is ridiculous'. I pretty much go with rounded 50g increments for spec malts and 250g increments for base malt now.
