Malt: Canned- Coopers Pale Ale. BB date on can: 22/07/22 Extra Ingredients: 1.024kg Coopers Brew Enhancer 2, and 210g of Cooper Brew Enhancer 1. (Same as Brew 008) Water: Coles Spring Water 10L x 2 Preparation: Malt Can added to off-the-boil water, dissolved, stirred in Brew Enhancers, disolved and added to FV. Yeast: Reactivated bottle yeast from a 6-pack of Coopers Pale Ale, Best after date 24/08/20 Pitching Method: Poured into wort. Initial Wort Temperature: 22C Temperature Control: None. This will be an ambient temperature ferment. Expecting 21-23C. Initial Sample SG (OG): 1040. Can instructions indicated 1038, but I have added: BE1 and BE2. Brew temp: 21C (Ambient 20.8C). Nice gradual decrease through the day. Comments: Nice Krausen developing: Mocha foam replaced throughout the day by nice tight white bubbles. Lamington for sure! Comments: Probably cold crashing tomorrow. Remove coconut bag or cold crash with it? Brew 008R: Identical repeat of Brew 008, but with Coles Spring Water not tap water. 52 hours (2.2 days) since pitch. Brew temp: 21C (Ambient 20.8C. Steady. Comments: Krausen still present. I pulled mine out before cold crashing. This is just my habit with "dry hopping". The coconut aroma and flavour was still quite present. I do not know if there are any issues with leaving the coconut "dry hop" in the FV during the cold crash. I guess a few days should be fine.
