The Captain!!
Haven’t tried it myself but I know people who do and like it. King Ruddy used some in his latest SMaSH from memory
Greenyinthewestofsydney
The local country brewer did a sell job on me the other day. Will buy a sack when i run out of the BB sack.
Mark D Pirate
Yup, quality products. Good and consistent extract yields. Kernel size is rather large so mill to suit
Beerlust
I've only used the Ale malt & Lager/Pilsner malt in a handful of partial mash brews thus far & each turned out well (I thought). I'm no expert but it looked to be very good quality grain. I have some on my shelves here atm. I'll leave the efficiency speak to the full AG geeks. If you can get hold of some Ben, definitely give it a go & make your own assessments after a few brews with it. Cheers, Lusty.

ben 10
@PB2 what of your own malts are being used where?

Dunno but I can shoot a few emails about the place and see what others have to say. I've heard from a couple of small breweries that they like the malt but find the bags (heavy brown paper bag with a plastic lining) to be annoying for handling purposes. I've used Commander, Schooner and Westminster - all with good results. I don't mind the bags.
ben 10
Do Coopers use it? You'd think so, but in what?In their cans too?
PB2
Yep, all products. A covered conveyor-belt connects the Maltings to the Brewhouse.

Hairy
My LHBS had some in before Christmas but not a lot of stock. I think he was just testing it out. Hopefully he starts stocking it going forward.
joolbag
I bought and split a sack with a fellow forum member. I liked it. I usually buy a gladfields and this was on par. Would buy again
ben 10
I have been through a bag of the Pale and really liked it. I have a bag of the premium and it was odd today. LOTS of floaties and the concealed element cover ended caked in crap so the cut out triggered. Very annoying actually. Unsure why this happened, does anyone have any ideas why barely would act like rye?
Otto Von Blotto
The only time it did that to me was when I attempted a step mash starting at 40 degrees, but that was mainly pilsner malt. Otherwise I've only occasionally had the boil cut out when doing long boils, but a quick scrub and it's fine until flameout.
Greenyinthewestofsydney
Half way through a bag of the ale (red one). Works good to me. Slightly different taste to the normal BB ale I buy. Slightly prefer the BB though. No problems with crap accumulating. No more than the BB malt anyway.
