Beerlust
Recipe: Hopped Out IPA... 350gms worth of hops! That's one hoppy beer! A very interesting mix of hops too. Yeah the EKG has some nice aromas. I'm led to believe EKG was (at one point) the bittering hop for Little Creatures Pale Ale/Rogers. Cheers, Lusty. porschemad911
A friend brewed an EKG / Galaxy IPA which he said was fantastic. Not a combination I would have come up with, but looks like the EKG / fruity new world hop combo can work great! Ben10, did you just throw in the 40g EKG @FWH, or the whole 200g hop bill? If just the EKG I reckon it should still be alright, the rye and wheat malt will help to reign in the extra bitterness with a bit of body. Cheers, John

Waylon
I can see the east kent golding and galaxy being a good combo, I recently combined centennial, fuggles and mt hood that was a great IPA
porschemad911
I threw in 100g FWH. 20g of each hop. some decent AA% ones in there too ... good way to test IBU saturation theories. Be interested to see how it turns out! You could always add enough DME / LME to bring it up to say an 1.100+ OG and turn it into a hoppy Barleywine to bring it somewhat back into balance. Beerlust
Brew day! A beer for my father. Except for a bit of dried wheat malt, it is the Coopers DIY recipe: Nelson's Light. Light Dry Malt Extract 1.35kg Wheat Dry Malt 150gms CaraMunich III 250gms Centennial 25gms @ 30mins Nelson Sauvin 20gms (steeped) Nelson Sauvin 25gms dry hopped Coopers kit yeast Brewed to 21 litres I had planned to make a midstrength beer using the new Thomas Coopers Golden Crown Lager kit, but I already had all the ingredients on hand for the Nelson's Light, so thought I'd save a few bucks this week. My Saison is down another 10-12 points since pitching the Belle Saison, but does seem a bit sluggish. The taste is certainly there though. Cheers & good brewing, Lusty. Morrie
Another APA in the kettle today. Having a double brew weekend. I feel like a hit of Citra and Galaxy.
