    What's in Your Fermenter? 2018

What's NOT in your fermenter.............. PASSIONFRUIT BEER. I checked fermentation fridge earlier today and was hit in the face with a strong solvent smell. I don't believe it was due to the addition of the Passionfruit pulp. To be honest there was a slight hint of solvent at day 4 of fermentation when I added the fruit. The hydro sample was nail polish remover Most reading that I have done suggests a high fermentation temp as the cause. Not to sure in this case TIPPER Cheers, Dave

The Friday Night 6 Pack Session

Yum. Tropical fruit juice. The POG juice made all the difference. There was a ton of sediment in the glass after it sat for a few minutes. Could be a bit off putting for some.

Brew Day!! Watcha' got, eh!? 2018

Hi Fellas, Took some inspiration from Two birds Passion Victim and this months Craft ROTM. PASSIONFRUIT BEER 500g LDME 500g Wheat DME 25g Galaxy @ FO (1hr steep) Passionfruit pulp (Fresh/Canned ?) @ day 3 of Fermentation 30g Galaxy dry hopped Maybe some more Passionfruit pulp @ packaging "keg hopped" for a few days depending on what FV samples taste like. 10L Bootmaker kit Yeast @ 18C I'm a bit worried adding fermentables (Passionfruit pulp) back into a finished beer in case it kicks of fermentation again. I have had this happen with a cider that I back sweetened with apple juice in the keg after CC and at serving temperatures! Cheers Dave.

RDWHAHB - What Are You Drinking in 2018?

Hi Fellas, Poured a couple of Pints of my Golden Rye Ale tonight. Golden colour, white head. Can taste rye and late cascade influence. Smooth lingering bitterness. A good drop. Will post a pic soon. Cheers, Dave.

Hi Fellas, CORN WARRIOR 3Kg Gladfields Light Lager Malt 0.6Kg Flaked Maize 10g Warrior @ 60 19L US-05 @ 16C OG1040 IBU 18 Will ferment @ 16 for 2 weeks, CC for 1 week and then transfer to keg and Lager under serving pressure for 2 - 4 weeks. I took this same approach for my Partial Mash take on the Coopers Artisan Reserve recipe. Had a taste today (2 weeks largered in keg) it was great. Should be bang on for Xmas. Cheers, Dave.
