If you ever sort out photo's, this is the Only way to store them.

So much easier when you want to find one.

David, I agree 100%. Ive been sorting folders of family pics that way for about 20 years. It's great for that.

BUT, this us about reading the date. Not quite the same.

Are you blokes talking about the date format in general or relating to something in particular as some formats vary on different forms that we have to fill out.

The date on our posts.

I prefer ISO date standard: 2022-11-05

I agree, YYYY-MM-DD makes a lot of sense, especially in anything computer related as this format makes it easier to rank files etc in a logical and searchable sense.

Oh, wait, that's much better now shows the month instead of all numbers.

Yep. Same for me.  @Coopers DIY Beer Team it would be nice to change this if possible.

The forum is hosted out of the US and the date format is not something we can change here, but we'll ask the guys running the site if it can be changed and get back to you.

And yes, YYYY-MM-DD is the format we use at the brewery. Makes more sense and is can't be misinterpreted.

Since cocky was an egg in this country it's been day- month-year. (DD MM YYY)

However I am much happier with current.

(November 6 2022) this is clearer.

This is not a computer data base, it's a forum.

What we had last week, US, (MM D YYYY)   or the ISO date ( YYY MM DD)  is just confusing.
