What's your favourite Enhancers?

With only a can of Coopers extract (with supplied yeast) ...and making your own Enhancer using only Maltodextrin, Dextrose and Malt. ...and using no other ingredients.  What's your favourite recipe?

If it looks good, I'll try it.

When I do an extract beer from Coopers basic range I use BE3 with the exception of a lighter style beer or lager, I add least 500gm of LDME or LDM but usually closer to a 1kg of extra fermentables. I use darker malts for Dark Ales/Stouts & sometimes Wheat Malt Extract or steep a quantity of grain.

This to me is the guaranteed method of a full bodied gutsy beer with a lasting creamy foamy head. Brewing with Dextrose/Sugar instead of Malt just don't cut it  IMO.

A beer with no guts or little or no head has no place in my Bar.

For me, Boxes of BE3 and LDM were not available very often locally, so I ordered bulk (20k) of Light Dry Malt and mixed my own.

My go to session brew is usually:

Coopers Pale Ale can, 1k LDM, 300g Dextrose. Can yeast.

Lately I've started Steeping small amounts Carapils, Light Crystal malt, Golden Oats and hops.

I've got a lot to learn but i'm loving the process

Cheers

That was sensible David. Where did you buy the 20kg LDM from?

Off to Beer Belly tomorrow to pickup some bit's and have a look around.

If I don't detour it's a 202k round trip (I'm down that way so not so bad)!

You could always detour to here & have a beer if you want, don't expect to much looking around in Beer Belly, you can only fit about 3 people in the shop, don't get me wrong they are great people but most of there business is AG & that all happens out back.
