Beer Baron
A thread for anything going on outside the house and not to do with brewing!!
Beer Baron
A before and after photo. The first photo is when I purchased my new house and as you can see the old lady didn’t do too much. The second photo is after plenty of love and care 8
Otto Von Blotto
Now you just need one of those Scott Bonnar mowers to stripe it up and make the rest of the street envious Following on from the other thread, yes it obviously will need water, the difference is how much. I've got the front looking green, but a few days after it's watered it starts looking a bit thirsty. I gave it a good drink before we went to Melbourne and it was getting a bit dry looking when we got home.
Malter White
Fortunately we've finally had some rain this week. Really greened the lawn up. I normally use dehydrated, instant water for irrigation but it's so expensive. A great product.... just add water. 1

It was a beautiful Santa Anna lawn many years ago but a combination of dog ownership, water restrictions and an contamination of Kikuyu has turned it into a piece of grass for the dog to use as a toilet. I'm not proud enough to take photos of it.
Otto Von Blotto
Bugger. Kikuyu isn't a bad lawn turf by itself, I played on a golf course in Newcastle years ago that had it on the fairways and it was nice. But yeah not a fan of lawns with 58602 different types of grass in them
Malter White
I had Kikuyu at my previous house and hated it. It was good because it was hardy but unless you keep right on top of mowing it, it's very aggressive and gets into everything eg. pavers, garden beds. Now I've got it again. Bugga! Malter White
My brother in law just posted this photo of his lawn on Facebook. He's a sales rep for Neutrog fertilisers.
Otto Von Blotto
This was the lawn at the olds when I lived there a few years ago. Hops in the planter boxes. Planning on the lawn here being pretty much the same once it's in and established, albeit a smaller area.
Marty_G
My front yard, this is a year or so ago. Looking a bit sicker these days as we have had very little rain.
Malter White
Nice, MartyG. I've always pondered a tree change but a fear of bush fires combined with my ad hoc approach to maintainence says I'd be a prime candidate to lose my home in a fire. Red devil 44
I used to live across the road from a guy who had a pristine lawn, but the rest of his house was falling down around him When he mowed his wife was in front of the mower making sure he kept to the correct lines when mowing He used to come home and get on his hand and knees and inspect his lawn with a microscope But wait, gets funnier. Then a swarm of Lawn Grub infested his lawn and literally destroyed it over a few days, looked like a giant UFO landed on it I never saw eye to eye with this jerk so it was pi## funny to watch his devastation whilst having a homie on the verandah

Otto Von Blotto
Yeah, need more than one storm to bring it back to life haha. A good day or two of steady rain. I've kept the small front lawn reasonably green so the rain certainly helped it.

Simple mans ideas on a solution. Get rid of the Glaziers Get rid of the Chairman Demote Ole to assistant coach, bit out of his depth. Grab Pochettino while you can, he’s a good Manager, could of made Spurs a better team.
