King Ruddager
Added my dry hops the other day, which was an interesting exercise given the glued-down nature of the lid

That looks like a big dose of perc (perk) and a soak is in order for that one!
BlackSands
My latest batch was pitched onto half a Nottingham yeast cake and I had no such issue, however the size of the new cake formed after fermentation itself was a bit of a problem - biggest cake I've see so far in fact. It was up at tap level so I ended up having to chock up the front of the FV, tilting in backwards and letting the yeast slowly shift toward the back of the FV over the next few days. UncleStavvy
I guess you wont get this much yeast activity with kit supplied Cooper's yeast?

You will go pretty close if you pitch the three kit yeasts into the Russian Imperial Stout recipe. I still have two bottles (and my brother in law is saving his one bottle) from October 2018. UncleStavvy
Holy crap, that's industrial grade stout that recipe. The stout i was making back in the 90's was nice enough after a month but was just amazing after 12 months cellaring. Putting the Imperial on my to-do list for sure
