Guys and Gals

it was a sad day  yesterday with the Passing of Rod"irongloves"Marsh  but to lose  the worlds best spinner we have seen at the age of 52  Shane "thesheik of spin"Warne its just unbelievable that this guy is now passed on

I can remember one night in Hobart in a night club called regines at the Hobart Casinoi was with a young girl pushing her around in a wheelchair around and Warnie came into regines with the aussie team  and this where i got the chance to have a chat with the great
and he stood and chatterd to us both all night as well as pushing her anywhere she wanted to go

RIP to both ROD Marsh and Warnie both guys leave a great legacy behind and i was honoured to have met warnie and watching these to greats of the game

condolences to both families

Unbelievable both were legends and a big part of my life watching them play as a kid growing up etc. I still remember watching Warneys ball to Gatting and where I was it was that good.

Terrible news with both Rod and Warnie. Very shocked with Warnie. 52 ain't old. The best spin bowler I have seen and probably on a par with Ambrose as overall best bowler I have seen. A great cricket mind as well. Would have been the best captain but never got that chance sadly. We also have him to thank for keeping the Aussie larrikin alive and well. He did a great job of that too.

I got to meet Rod Marsh, Denis Lillie & Thomo at the Ascot Racecourse in the early 80's, I lived in Perth at the time & as a coincidence I leased the building on Albany Highway, East Victoria Park where Denis Lillie ran " Denis Lillie's Cricket World" he was friends with the tenants downstairs who ran a car wholesaling business along with one of the joint owners of 6PR Radio Station.

They were all top blokes & didn't mind a drink !!

Vale Marshy & Warnie.

I remember like it was yesterday watching the great Rod "Bacchus" Marsh  (A term used by us Mexicans - Bacchus Marsh is a regional location in Victoria).

Who could ever forget the cry of "caught Marsh, bowled Lillee" What a wicket keeper he was. And what a humble man too. A Giant of the game.

I had the privilege of working with Warnie, he was a fantastic bloke and one of the most humblest human beings I think I've ever worked with. He was also one of the funniest.

Such sad news, it's hard to believe he's gone. Warne was without doubt one of the greatest cricketers ever to play the game. RIP mate.
