@Coopers DIY Beer Team, have you guys just switched to the NBN?

It's been fine for me.

re: NBN - when they were building my house, they sliced the Telstra cable somehow. And Telstra ran a new line from the sub-exchange just around the corner - NBN has been gold for us. 3 years and the only outage has been when they take out a State and THAT tends to be Victoria, not SA. 😄

Looks like you won the great NBN lottery!

lol i'm just fortunate my isp offers this  for residential

however if you have fttp (fibre to the premise)   and you go with Aussiebroadband (i think they are the only isp that provides these speeds
to residential)   you can get  internet speeds upto 1gb

most plans are now offering   upto 250mbps download speeds

I appreciate the thought. 😄

Just checked them and for MB they are $10 more than Spintel for same plan.  Problems of being Regional I guess.

Bacchus Marsh is classed regional in vic   ( i think we are just bordering metro)

but  yeah its a pitty we all cant get speeds like mine  as i think we are all entitle to the quickest speed

australia in internet is 10 years behind

I meant that you won the lottery because you have FTTP available. NBN was great in its initial concept but unfortunately politicians got to it and we have ended up with a system that was obsolete before it was built and is inferior to what most 3rd world countries have.

I total agree and we find ourselves in a similar situation  when adsl finished up in my view

the basic package 12mbps not worth the contract its written on when  its only marginly quicker then the top speed of adsl cable

I am very fortunate really to have fttp  i am also lucky to get 5g where i am situated in which is pretty quick itself. like ya said basicly won the lottery  for having it..

I guess where i am was one of the 1st to get NBN
