boring you people again

well its been a bit of whirlwind and things coming to end last sunday the 23/4 as i took my last  injection for  type 2 diabetes because its in shortage  , not only did this medication keep my blood sugars low   but it has helped with other factors as well , even though i have it on order its stated back order until June 30th 2023 .

but lucky  i still have something to tie me over until June 30th  but i need to go back injecting twice daily instead of once a week ,  which is a huge advancements for diabetics

however that alittle bit of the negative

the good thing is i am still going south with weight  and nearly lost 15kgs  which is huge effort so far

had my quarterly check up with my heart specialist today and i went thinking the worse but came out on a rather high
my heart doc said well  your cholesterol is better then  the average person  now then it was 3 months ago , we have fixed that
the ecg is showing the ticker of 30 year old
yeah blood pressure is not my liking but i did change you to a low dose he said  but we will up that to 10 mg

i see ya still drink mick  i said what makes ya think that doc,  he said your on a good beer forum  called coopers, i accidently lade my phone with the coopers site  open, silly me
he said dont panic ya doing great

next breath he said , you dont need to see me ever again , becuase ya heart is strong and we can fix it now and this can be done through gp

i still cant be complacent and go back to normal in my life , but i canm start seeing benifits now , i am walking  further  then i could be before
trying to eat correctly and not eat as much as i used to

being out of 1 of my drugs is not going to stop me moving forward i can only still try to follow these things to make it easier for when i can get my  prescription filled

but things are looking up

Hey OD, it sounds like you are having a hell of a journey & I wish you well as you know folks on this forum will too.

All you can do is keep a positive attitude & go with what the experts say, so from all of us hang in there mate & you will see light at the end of the tunnel.

Your health is the most valuable thing you can have so look after it & hopefully you will feel better soon.

@ozdevil, I am on a weight loss quest too. It is a hard slog, but very good when the weight goes southwards. I am 8kg down, and 10 more to go. I would like to think by the end of the year, but maybe not.  My formula is more exercise, cut the carbs, cut out the wine and stick to beer lol. My blood pressure has improved heaps, and my clothes fit better.

Hi mate,

I'm no doctor, but with concerns to health, it's your own journey and there is only one person that can make you well again, and that is YOU. Other people can advise you, but ultimately you need to take all the information on board and make your own decision to which path you will take. Despite what you may have been told, Type-2 diabetes is curable, and your body can heal itself. It will take some time, some shorter than others, but dropping the weight will do it - I know from experience. If you are interested, I will post a link for one of the world leaders in diabetes treatment. A little bit of research on your part is required, it is a bit of a rabbit hole, but I can show you the entrance but it is up to you whether you want to dive down.

I wish you the best mate, for whichever way your path takes you.

Yes, there is a shortage of quite a lot prescription drugs and other things that are over the counter at the chemist.

I understand that insulin for diabetes type 2 has been found to assist in weight loss and the demand for it has out stripped supply.
