Shamus O'Sean
Hi Folks I have got a hold of some grains. One of the bags is 6kg of Vienna Malt. Thoughts on what I could do with this? A quick search of the Forum suggests 100% Vienna Malt with 40 IBU's from bitterness additions. Cheers Shamus

ChristinaS1
Or you could just use a bit in most of your recipes, to add a touch to maltiness. I add 10% Vienna to most of my kit brews and it really improves them. I much prefer Vienna to Munich, which I find too sweet and overpowering. Cheers, Christina.

I usually make my house IPA with Munich but I might change it up to Vienna next time just to see how it compares

headmaster
Baltic Porter. These usually use a large amount of vienna or munich as the base. Made one recently, using approx 3kg of each in a 9.7kg malt bill for 23 litres.
