OD, everything tastes better out of the tap as you well know, since I have been kegging drinking brews that have been bottled are very ho hum compared to what those that have been carbonated with CO2.

Melbourne Bitter  has always for most of its brewing days  only been bottles or cans, believe it or not, before craft beer didnt matter what state i was in this was my go to beer of choice .

I used to deliever cub products  in Melbourne and regional areas and have delievered to every pub  in Melbourne...   8 years ago would have been the 1st time Melbourne Bitter was on Tap  and still today not many pubs  have it on tap.

it was a great beer and should have been on tap well before    VB  in my opinion

but Melbourne Bitter is a great beer on tap for   megaswill

Hargreaves Hill (Probably best known for wines) - Double ESB

  • Pale Ale like fruity citrus aromas (that would be the Galaxy and Mosaic), with a hint of malty sweetness
  • Strong bitterness to start with
  • Drifting to malty sweetness
  • Easier and easier to drink by each mouthful
  • A lovely brew

I didn't know they made wine. My mate gets their IPA, lovely drop. Not at all surprised this one is good, too.

My bad.  The name sounds like it would be a winery, especially out in the Yarra Valley somewhere. 🤪

Ha, ha, my bad, also. Just looking at their website (trying to track down a schwarzbier) and it's their Hoppy Pale Ale my mate gets, not the IPA.

Brouwerji Verhaeghe Duchesses de Biurgogne Chocolate Cherry

IMG_20230829_203040976.thumb.jpg.434d21a5bb4b1c8ecad8903ca0a65b93.jpg

This is very interesting, an oak barrel aged Flanders Red cherry sour with a hint of chocolate on the nose that then treads lightly through the center of the tongue. Delicious 😋

Nam nam has been a choice of brew for the last few weeks whilst I wait for the kits to arrive.

it’s a bit tasteless (like a watered down flavour) after the second or third though I’ve felt. Anyone get that from this brew?

That's all I ever get from Lagers anyway; I only buy what's on special between kegs. But it tastes OK.

I much prefer Ales/IPA's/XPA's etc.

I picked this up on the clearance table for $2.00, so I can't really complain, the only good thing about it is, I only bought one!

To me, Lagers all taste the same, lifeless, tasteless & very ho hum.

They always seem to be the ones on the clearance tables.

This one is missing the gluten, therefore no taste🤣

Someone’s rubbish is someone else’s treasure. I found two Suntory crates from 🇯🇵 in the park house of the local shopping centre, and the next day my son found two Sapporo crates on the street. Love them, more stylish than milk crates to store my bottles

Also to store my box of Erdinger Weissbier which is on sale since today at Aldi. 5 bucks a bottle, not a bad deal, might ask for some more from sonny boy for Father’s Day

Wonder why the bubbles are stuck to bottom?

My pilot mate called in for a few beers out of the tap & left me 5 x bottles of wine, I have Decanted one for tonight's pizza.

Thinking, I hope he comes around more often. 😉
