How much do they differ from Extract cans? Fresh Wort Kits how they differ is the fact these wort kits are done by all grain and not extract Once boil is over for an all grain batch you can let cool down place into a 20litre food grade container or a bladder and just add more water or just fill and yeast thats all a fwk is

Classic Brewing Co
This was my interpretation of FWK was; Fresh wort kits are a pre-made unfermented wort – an all grain brew – made by a professional brewery. Fresh wort kits are so good because they allow any brewer to brew top-quality all-grain style beer easily (similar process to Kit in Kilo cans)

Technically it is. FWKs are great. I do 2-3 a year when I am struggling to find time to brew. All In Brewing have a good range.

All In Brewing have a good range. I agree Hairy, some of the LBHS I visit have them but slowly the prices are sneaking up but I guess that's just the sheer convenience of them. I have had a couple & I like them but more fun doing your own if you have time.

Yes exactly @Zelly. I find FWK's great, as already mentioned All Inn Brewing have a good range and FWK's are simple to use and save time, when time is short. How much do they differ from Extract cans? I'd say the main difference is they're not boiled down into a goo and then made into wort again. The thing is, it'll never be the same again. Try adding the correct amount of water to condensed milk. It will never taste like it did to start with again. There is something about the evaporation process. FWKs aren't boiled down and as the name suggests, they're fresh. Both are made from grain to start with but an FWK is the closest you can get to an all grain batch without making one. But essentially, you are brewing somebody else's beer. I've made two so far. a HW some time ago and currently I'm drinking an XPA from AllIn. Popo the Reprobate
They are great if you don't have the time and give a good result. Nothing is easier than tipping one of those into the fermenter. I have tried a few of the All Inn ones and they have all been fairly solid.
