James Lao
Hi Legends, Having a short break from brewing, so have to buy commercial beer Can’t bring myself to buy a 16 can pack most craft breweries do now. Has anyone tried Tinnies pale ale? Good value for a real (24 can) carton, gets good reviews but they could be fake. It’s meant to be brewed by Brick Lane which is encouraging. Think I will buy a couple before buying a full carton, dip the toe in the water. Cheers James

Cheers James I have tried it & some of the others & thought it was pretty good, my local Liquor Land stocks these so plenty to choose from. Cheers. I just found this so it must be better than I thought. Tinnies Pale Ale, which is brewed in Victoria by craft brewers Brick Lane Brewery, was named World’s Best Pale Bitter in the 4.5% to 5.5% category. The beer was picked out of more than 3,500 beers from 56 countries over a series of blind tastings.

Hairy
The Tinnies Pale Ale is pretty drinkable. It won't set your taste buds alight but it is great for the price. They are often on sale too.
James Lao
Thanks Hairy Will give them a go Breaks my heart that 24 can cartons are a dying species. Always try and get one when buying commercial beer to last me the week. By the way has anyone tried Wilson’s Rough Seas pale ale?? Pale Man
Just a thought, but have you tried Furphys? Carton of 24 x 375ml at around $50. Quite drinkable if you cant stomach any main stream beers.

I agree it very nice, I rarely buy commercial beer but that would be among the short list when I actually do.
James Lao
Thanks fellas. Quite surprised how good the Zythos IPA is. Nice and hoppy, good value for money: 24 cans, 375ml Think they are one of those mercenary breweries, brewing for the big chains etc, which is a bit disappointing, but the proof is in the pudding, bloody nice beer Cheers James
