ben 10
Brewdog in the Valley. A very short stroll from the train station, past some homeless people and the police harassing them. Passionfruit sour for me and cider for the wife - had a few more and some share plates of food. Good times

Good times It's funny, I've been to Brewdog in Murarrie, I've been to the one in Heathrow and the one in Reykjavik but never made it to the one in the Valley, despite walking past pretty much every time I go to a concert in town. And it is so conveniently located just across the road from the station. 1

Brauhaus Fritz
A few more tastings from last week from the 2 dollar bin. James Squire and Tinnies are great beers. The Monteith, Moondog and Stockade are exceptional. Pity that Stockade does not exist anymore. I rate this XPA above Coopers. The Moondog Pale Ale was one of the best, most balanced Pales I ever had. And the Monteith? Say no more

Kegory
Ayinger Jahrhundert Bier This is another Dortmunder Export Lager, but a special one. I'm learning to look them up before I start popping the tops, hence, this one first. Weihenstephaner Festbeir I bet a few of these have been put down over the last couple of weeks.

Stone and Wood isn't far away, Green Beacon, Newstead and Felons are all within a 20-minute walk from the station. If in doubt, there is always Uber 1

Kegory
Ayinger Maibock According to my good friend, Mr Google, a Maibock is a lager bock, a May beer, and a Spring beer. According to me this is a pretty damn good beer. Weihenstephan Kristall Weissbeir This time I got the correct glass. Far less wheaty than the Burnley Brewing Kristall Weiss.

Tricky Micky
Possibly the worst lager beer I've ever tasted - at an impressive 6.5% ABV, thought I'd at least try it out. Wow! I can't describe how awful this one is. Leaves a sickly after taste in the mouth - almost gagging. Thin body, over carbonated, and zero head. 2

Aussiekraut
Classic Haze by Slow Lane Brewing, courtesy of @Brauhaus Fritz. It's a very nice Hefeweizen. In fact, I don't recall banana flavours in a HW like this. This tastes very moreish if I may say so.
Classic Brewing Co
Carlton Dry at the local - yuk, what a crappy beer, no taste, boring & a waste of $6.00. I definitely wouldn't buy this again. 1

I definitely wouldn't buy this again. When it first came out in glass bottles I used to enjoy it (which is not to say I would still enjoy it today). After a short amount of time, maybe a year or two (could have been longer but probably not much) they switched to plastic bottles and it didn't taste the same. A number of people I have spoken to over the years agree that the taste changed when the bottle changed and there is a general consensus that they tasted worse.
