New Hydrometer

Heading up the Sunshine Coast for a few days R&R tomorrow, but was going to swing into the Northside and pick up one of these.

I have read up on them & watched a few you tube vids and they seem pretty good.

‘German made so must be good quality, for $110 I might give it a go I think?

What is the tech support like? I have read of people having to get support from the manufacturer to troubleshoot similar items.

Dunno @Kegory, I’m pretty tech minded though & can work most things out.

I have only ever used a Rapt Pill, so I can't give any advice on this unit.

I am though pretty happy with my Rapt Pills (I have 2) and now that they have wireless charging available for them they are even better. They also integrate seamlessly with Brewfather and give you a graphical representation of how the ferment is proceeding. Oh, and they are cheaper than the unit you have shown.

I would go with the Rapt Pill too.  I have one and it has not missed a beat.  I have 2 iSpindels and they were good to start with, but have had some signal strength issues lately.

i have 4 rapt pills  and they have never missed a beat until 1 day when putting the wireless charging on 1 i stupidly put the battery in wrong and shorted the board out, it was my own fault

but they are great  they can be intergrated with  brewfather, grainfather  and other brew software   they also can  conect upto all rapt  ecosystems  such as temp controller and fridge
so that you can get temp whats happening with the wort

basic  70+50 will get you the pill and wireless charging kit  

or 73+50  will get you a different collour then the yellow standard pill  but you will also aquire the yellow lid as well  + wireless charging unit
