wild dog
Hi all, so im loving a guiness at the moment and wouldn't mind making something similar so wondering if anyone has some simple ways of replicating some of its flavour. The best I can do is a stove top extract with 500 grain Max so needs to be fairly simple, cheers crew

Naughty Corner Brewing
Be interested in how you go replicating the Guiness head? I think they are all served with Nitro?
The Captain!!
Possibly a syringe
Otto Von Blotto
They are on nitro, but it can be done with a syringe as well. It's not exactly the same but close enough.
wild dog
Yeah not keen on nitro, sounds like a bit of mucking around, I'll find a way, I'll just make sure they're primed to be well and truly carbonated!
PaddyBrew2
Ahhhhhh Mother’s milk. I was reared on the stuff
Otto Von Blotto
Guinness draught is actually really lowly carbonated. If you want to mimic it I'd be halving the priming rate, not increasing it. You really need a keg setup to do nitro pouring. I have one but can't be arsed with it either.
