weggl
This is a variation of the Muddy Full Nelson. I have used a can of Lager (not Larger, or smaller) to provide the bitterness instead of boiling Centennial for 30 min. I have also used some Wheat Malt, just to see how it would go. It tasted pretty good out of the fermenter, will let you know how it goes in a month\u2019s time. Matty A
Wow everyone seems to be modding Pauls recipe. I done a variation where I smashed the Nelson Sauvin into it and now the SWMBO reckons it smells like tropical fruit juice. The funny thing aboutnthis is I picked pineapple. Just for background info the SWMBO thinks sweet strongbow smells like beer. Is this just the hops? It tastes fairly good out of the fermenter. CraigsALE
LOL I never heard that one before. SWMBO. She Who Must be obeyed. Well my SWMBO says she likes stout cause it tastes like chocolate to her.
weggl
Well I cracked a Cenelson today, just 2 weeks in the bottle. I always check at 2 weeks just to get an idea of how it will taste and to make sure there are no infections. It is probably the best I have made, think it is better than the Full Nelson even at 2 weeks, though that is a great beer. It has the added advantages of being cheaper and eiser to make. It is first class!!!!

Im glad mine hates stout. That means more for me to drink. No idea what the tropical flavour is but it is fading away and I will be bottling this week. Tastes unreal already. I might have to bump this up the queue of beers to drink.
weggl
[pinched] Some thieving bastard has knocked off a box of my CENELSON. I leave the door to my cellar open all the time. It was I believe going to be the finest I have ever made. Looks like I will have to start locking up. Now I\u2019m going to have to make another batch straight away to make up the shortfall. Muddy Waters
Now that has a ring to it [cool] You might want to look at security Warren. I remember you posting a link to the sattelite image of where you live. Anyone could have seen that, read about your fine beers and come for a few freebies. Not as far fetched as it sounds [rightful] ...you really have to be careful what you post on the internet.

Hairy
Very good memory Paul. I can only remember this from the Cat in the Hat: "I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny, but we can have lots of good fun that is funny." And that's only because I read it a couple of nights ago.

weggl
There is a melody in the back of the head, been there for 45 years, somthing like, "Gooey goo for gooey gluing, thats what glue goose is doing". Think I've stuffed the words but the melody lingers on.[love]
Hairy
"I've got a little melody and it sticks in my head. I've got a little melody and its one I can't forget." Courtesy of Custard and Dave McCormack. Now I've got that stuck in my head.
weggl
Hairy., you wrote-"I've got a little melody and it sticks in my head. I've got a little melody and its one I can't forget." Now if it was meant to poetic it should have been something like this, "I've got a little melody and it sticks inside my head. I've got a little melody and one I simply dread." Do you see the difference? Warren
Hairy
Yep. I wrote it on the forum but I didn't write the song. I would be devastated if I wrote a song that didn't rhyme.[crying]
