Stickers
i don't use mine if that helps. if you're not making high krausen brews it's just one more thing to clean and sanitise.

Classic Brewing Co
Hi @Boss Your question has been answered but if it was the new kit it should have contained the KC, see below, https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=53cb94d8239df780JmltdHM9MTY2Mjg1NDQwMCZpZ3VpZD0xZjEzNTgwNi0zZTNmLTZkMDgtMDg2Mi00YTFhM2YzMDZjNDEmaW5zaWQ9NTQ1Ng&ptn=3&hsh=3&fclid=1f135806-3e3f-6d08-0862-4a1a3f306c41&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZGl5YmVlci5jb20vYXUvY29vcGVycy1kaXktYmVlci1icmV3LWtpdC5odG1sIzp-OnRleHQ9VGhlJTIwQ29vcGVycyUyMERJWSUyMEJlZXIlMjBCcmV3JTIwS2l0JTIwSW5jbHVkZXMlM0ElMjBCcmV3aW5nLEZlcm1lbnRpbmclMjBWZXNzZWwlMjAlMjYlMjBMaWQlMjAlMjhtYWtlcyUyMDIzTCUyMG9mJTIwYmVlciUyOQ&ntb=1 I would take it up with the place of purchase or contact Coopers in case you ever want to make BIG beers. @Coopers DIY Beer Team Edited September 11, 2022 by Classic Brewing Co

Tricky Micky
Only ever used mine once for a 28 litre volume....the rest of the time haven't needed it - just to be clear I've only been brewing Pales, and Lagers at around 20 to 23 liters volume. Yeah I have only ever used mine a few times & even then I probably would have done without it apart from a Toucan I did a while back - I thought it was going to take off !! Herbal Alchemy.
Just had a brew box delivered this afternoon from Big W & no collar, I have three fermenters now so I also have spares should I need a collar. I wish I read this thread years ago I've been cleaning & sanitising that collar for no apperent reason. Rarely have I brewed high abv batches that might warrant using the collar. Can't wait to put it to work this weekend. Cheers.

They do have their place, but normal home brew doesn't really warrant it.
Oldbloke
Lol. To avoid the "high tide" mark that can be stubborn to clean all I do is: I mix the brew and top up water to about 18 litres. After about 4 days I add the required amount of water to bring it up to normal amount. This way the high tide is left soaking for about 7-10 days, keeps it soft and easy to clean.
