jamiek86
Hello guys and gal's I thought I saw a similar topic not long ago but cant seem to find it. What is the additive to make the yeast chew through more fermentables and create the beer to be low carb and dry in taste? Advice from anyone who has done this with home brewing and the results would be appreciated.
Cheap Drunk
I hope it's not bad etiquette to link to this but AHB has several threads on low carb beers, such as this: https://aussiehomebrewer.com/threads/easy-low-carb-beer.43687/

Journeyman uses Dry Enzyme that does this. I have some on order however I haven't used it yet. It's called Dry Enzyme about $1.20 per sachet. One per 23 litres. Bought it from Morgan's via Google. Could be cheaper else where.

I actually haven't noticed any difference. (except the effects of suddenly having a 9.6% beer to drink. ) I mean I knew it would increase ABV but I wasn't expecting it to jump by more than 2.5%! I used it to deal with lotsa farting going on - it worked. 1

I have also used it in the odd Brut IPA and it certainly does not dtract from the beer. I like a well dry beer anyway.
