TobiasA
Yeah, I read a few posts here why some use them and some don't :) Mine are about 4,5cm in diameter. I noticed the expanding phenomena when I dryhopped my Motueka Slam a few weeks ago :) Anyway, I'm guessing I could put 5-10 grams in each one of mine? Muddy Waters
They look pretty small Tobias. I'd keep it to a max of 5g in each of those unless they are bigger than they come across in the photo.
Canadian Eh!L
They look pretty small Tobias. I'd keep it to a max of 5g in each of those unless they are bigger than they come across in the photo. I'd throw them in loose, rack to a secondary, then return all those tea balls and put the money towards a 6-pack of Coop's Sparkling![rightful] [biggrin] [alien]
Otto Von Blotto
I'm with Muddy. Mine are 6.5cm diameter and can hold 10g comfortably, but 4.5cm I would probably say 5g, maybe 7g at the absolute max.
Nick
I picked these up for $2 each delivered on Ebay. There were heaps of sellers, but i wanted the biggest i could get. I can get 20gms of pellets in the large one and there's still room to spare. I received mine in less than 2 weeks. I can try and post a link to the seller if anyone wants it. TobiasA
Ordered some more tea stainer balls from ebay a few days ago, hopefully they're bigger :) I'm lazy so I probably stay away from dry hopping commando style, for now :)

TobiasA
Tried this after a little more than a week in bottle. It wasn't bad, but it could do with some more time maturing :) Will do another sample in a week or so :)
Otto Von Blotto
You'll probably find it will be much better after a month or two in the bottle. But, I usually have a sample of my brews after one week as well. [lol] I find it gives me an idea of what to expect from the brew once it has been in storage for a while. TobiasA
Yeah, my Motueka Slam is already much better now than when I first tasted it, it's coming up on 4 weeks this Sunday. But I'm all new to this, and it's hard to keep my fingers away ;)
