King Ruddager
I struggle with it. My stout has been in the fermenter 8 days now and even though I know that more time would be good I find myself busting to get it in bottles and get the next beer started. Didn't help that I bought everything I need for a golden ale today I suppose ... Help?
Otto Von Blotto
Maybe just get another fermenter and alternate brews so you're mixing one up or bottling each weekend [biggrin]
BrewingBenny
Now wait till SWMBO hears that one, real life Otto said I can buy another FV so as I can be Bottling and brewing every weekend. King Ruddager
I wish I had the room! I've only got a one-and-a-half bedroom unit and the missus' side of the wardrobe is already full of beer.
Otto Von Blotto
[lol] Ah well, I guess you'll just have to try and be patient[wink]

Otto Von Blotto
I know what you mean though, I tend to struggle with leaving a brew in the fermenter long enough occasionally.. it's worse with lager because it takes longer to ferment. I do have two fermenters but I use the other one for bulk priming so can't really brew two at once unless I bottled with drops again.
The Brew Master
......... ah Grasshoppers, Grasshoppers, Grasshoppers you must get your good ladies on side. I used to have 2 fermenters on the kitchen bench until I got a temp controlled fridge. Cheers, Peter
BrewingBenny
My first brew was all that was allowed on the bench, I was basically told leave it there for the second and it will end up pushed into the sink and feeding the fish.
Otto Von Blotto
[lol] I've turned half the laundry into a brewery over the last few months. Although, having said that, I don't have a missus to worry about appeasing, so it's all sweet. [bandit]
King Ruddager
Mine just says that as long as she can't see it it's ok. She likes the beer too, so even today I managed to convince her that I still need two more boxes of bottles (taking my grand total to 150 bottles) to help it age a bit more before we drink it. King Ruddager
Day 10 - can't wait any longer. If I don't bottle it tonight I won't be able to build the golden ale I'm so excited about tomorrow! I did my best.
LordEoin
10 days will be fine. You'll probably have a little more sediment in the bottles, but you won't notice it as the stout is so dark [happy]

Cloudy
It's a good thread this. I find myself thinking about the title of this thread more than my brews. What helps is staying busy, having other hobbies and diving deeper into the homebrew hobby (sounds a bit contradictory I guess). There is ALWAYS more to learn. [biggrin] Time is the biggest killer yet it's what makes our beers good!
