Transferring wort and cold crash question

Howdy peeps,

im thinking of transferring my recently fermented wort to another vessel as I have a fair bit of hop debris which ended up in the wort due to a mystery hole in a hop sock.

i was going to cold crash in the new vessel and bottle from there.

my questions being

1. Is there a better method of eliminating unwanted gunk in the wort than what I’m thinking of doing?

2. Do you need to repitch any yeast after a cold crash when bottling?

TIA

Gday mitch

Another way is you can cold crash in your fv, then on bottling day transfer to a secondary and bulk prime. I liked doing it this way, bottling nice clean beer without the yeast cake and shit to stir up or carbonation drops.

I dry hop commando, then cold crash in my primary fermenter for about a week. They do drop but I still get hop matter floating around. I transfer to a secondary, which I line with a cleaned and sanitized grain bag, which acts as a strainer and collects any hop debris. Since doing this my beers have been clearer and had no floaties so I find the extra fart arsing around is worth it in the end.
