Beerlust
Congrats guys' date=' great results. It is hard to brew to style sometimes. I have decided to create my own style guidelines; HBSG (Hairy's Beer Style Guidelines). I have built in several flaws into each category to help me brew to style [img']wink[/img] Then it should be called the HFBSG.
headmaster
Cheers fellas, The full results are out for the Nationals: http://www.aabc.org.au/stateresults/AABC2016FullResults.pdf Looks like I came 11th in Strong Ale, with a 37/50, winner 42.6. John, looks like you scored 6th place with your amber? Nicely done!
porschemad911
Thanks for the link headmaster! You must've been in a tough category, 37 caned my score! It's interesting that I managed to score higher than the 2 entries that beat me in the ACT comp. I must brew to Adelaide tastes Actually I think the few weeks extra bottle age did it good, my tasting at the time of the nationals showed the beer to be a bit better integrated, with the malt and hops in a slightly better balance. I reckon I'd rather drink a good Dusseldorf Alt than my Amber though. Cheers, John
