Dragon Fire IPA

You get a good base bitterness from the IPA kit so I am surprised it is really that sweet.

And also surprised you can't really taste the Styrians.

Everyone has different perception of taste I guess. Worst case you could blend it with a very bitter beer.

what AA% were they? The base numbers in the spreadsheet don't really contribute all that much to the total IBU (I've added you recipe in).

Could just need a little bit more time in the bottle, being 7%

3.2% and 3.4%, using the default AA % it was about 5 IBU more, so yea, shouldn't really make a difference. Maybe just in the amount of flavour I got out of them?

Hairy, I tasted my Motueka IPA last night and it seems more bitter than this one...which should not be the case. I really think I just need to double the hop additions.

I should of worded it better...I can taste the Styrian, it is just very subtle and soft. I will make this again and try to find a brighter, complimentary aroma hop along with doubling the Styrian additions.

If it still has this sweetness in another 2 weeks, it can definitely support a lot more hops I think.
