ArveL
Is 3 days to soon to test the CO2 level or the quality of the brew?
Muddy Waters
There are variables involved (storage temp etc) but I'd be inlined wait for a week.....having said that - it is better safe than sorry so it can't hurt to test a bottle now to ease your mind. I wouldn't expect to much carbonation at day 3 though.

ArveL
I chilled one and tested it! Smell: It had a kind of a good redwine smell. Taste: Like a mix of dark chocolate and licorice but not so much coffee. Just a little bit of CO2, and no head on the beer! But I think this will be a good beer to christmas after all. Muddy Waters
Make sure you test 1 a week for the next few weeks - By week 2 you should know if you have a problem on your hands.

It would have been slightly sweet. Therefore, hard to judge any flavors that are supposed to be there. It didn't have a head because it hasn't carbed up. Christmas is less than 3 weeks away. Green beer is green beer, it will be better after Xmas. However, I understand that sometimes time is not on your side.

ArveL
Many people have been drinking this brew this christmas and I have got many good comments like: The best dark beer they ever tasted. A beer tasting almost like redwine. A mouthfull og great chocolate.
