King Ruddager
I went to the local home brew store asking for stuff to make an amber ale and they just gave me this one football-sized bean thing (looked like a coffee bean) and a handful of powder and told me to boil it. I tried to crush the big bean and it exploded into hundreds of little ones, so I steeped all that but just ended up with a sticky residue in my grain bag. Then I realised they'd also given me a can of cider concentrate and I thought perhaps I was supposed to use that. I think the moral of the story is that my FV has been empty for a full week now and it's sad so it's invading my sleep to get me to use it again. Incidentally, has anyone ever made an amber ale out of a handful of powder, a giant coffee bean and a tin of cider?
GregT5
I have made an amber ale, but I use more conventional ingredients. In fact I am putting one down later today. Regarding the "dream scenario" I think you may have to cut down your dextrose amount in your brews...I think your ABV is a bit high [crying] [lol] [w00t]
