shaunm4
Hi All Just done my first home brew but it seems that the beer is flat. I followed the procedures properly but seems no good, i used two carbonation drops per 750ml bottle, is there any way to rectify this or just dump it. the beer actually tastes pretty good its just flat Cheers Shaun

Biermoasta
It will almost certainly be ok... so don't dump it! Some possible reasons for this problem; -there has not been adequate time for carbonation, -the bottles are being stored somewhere too cold, -you forgot to add priming sugar, -there is not enough yeast in the bottles or the yeast is dead. The problem is probably one of the first two points.

MarkJ3
Had one the other day, rest have been carbonated, must have been the lid or missed the carb drop, made a great shandy for the wife[biggrin] [lol]

Snags
[pinched] Maybe, just maybe, Mark means that he also had a flat beer in his last bottled brew, due to possibly leaving out carb drops or a dodgy seal. . . but the rest have been fine so far. . .[joyful] Well, thats how I interpreted what was written. . Cuchuliann
[happy] Hey mate I'm a bit late in joining this one and seems you have it resolved - but this happenned to me with my first batch. Turned out it was just that first bottle! Another reason why your beer might seem flat is you are using a glass that still has some soap residue on it.
