WCM
Hi All, I'm trying to brew my own vanilla chocolate beer but apparently, there are no available chocolate malt grains I can find. What can you suggest as an alternative? is chocolate powder a good idea? Thanks, WCM
xjjohnn0
Does this recipe give you any ideas? https://beerrecipes.org/Recipe/1516/chocolate-vanilla-ale.html
Hairy
I made a chocolate milkshake brown ale a little while ago and used 180g of Nestle Plaistow Premium Cocoa powder. It was fine; very chocolatey.
Dozer71
Can go cocoa powder as above or cacoa nibs soaked in vodka - makes a chocolate flavoured tincture and is sanistised. The nibs can also be toasted to release some oils then added as a "dry hop". Normally need around 100g or more.

I have plenty of chocolate grains in my store if you need some Gladfield Dark Chocolate Malt – Three Chins Brewing
