Could you please tell me when you began bottling Dark Ale?

 

 

 

If I took a stab I'd say the mid-'90s, maybe '96 or '97?

I remember it around the mid 90's!

 

 

 

I wonder if Coopers will ever consider doing a dopplebock? ;)

 

They've got their premium lager there now, use those same yeast with a bit of caramalt, chocmalt etc. heap more base malt. It'd be nice to see them take the bull by the horns and try something different and give the marketing ppl a kick up the bum. They could market it as the Coopers \xdcber Dark and launch it at sch\xfctzenfest next year!

We're not sure of the precise date but Dark Ale was launched in 1997.

Ah, The Dark. I spent a very enjoyable night at the Lion in North Adelaide last night drinking Dark on tap. What a great drink it is. I might have to try and track it down on tap in Melbourne.
