Oliver
Someone from Coopers, Could you please tell me when you began bottling Dark Ale? If I took a stab I'd say the mid-'90s, maybe '96 or '97? Cheers, Oliver
kieran
Geez mate, I thought that you were about to tell me you had a power outage and were bottling in a pitch black room! I remember it around the mid 90's! I wonder if Coopers will ever consider doing a dopplebock? ;) They've got their premium lager there now, use those same yeast with a bit of caramalt, chocmalt etc. heap more base malt. It'd be nice to see them take the bull by the horns and try something different and give the marketing ppl a kick up the bum. They could market it as the Coopers \xdcber Dark and launch it at sch\xfctzenfest next year!

Oliver
Ah, The Dark. I spent a very enjoyable night at the Lion in North Adelaide last night drinking Dark on tap. What a great drink it is. I might have to try and track it down on tap in Melbourne. Frank, thanks for the info on when The Dark made its way on tap. Cheers, Oliver
