Hairy Posted November 9, 2011 Share Posted November 9, 2011 It could be acetaldehyde. See this page in How to Brew: Acetaldehyde I had this flavour in a lager previously. I am pretty sure it was caused by pitching the yeast at a too high temperature. It took about 7 months to clear to a level where it is barely noticeable. weggl Posted November 10, 2011 Author Share Posted November 10, 2011 Used Coopers cultured yeast and use yeas out of that FV to make another batch, so it was not the yeast. Bill, it was already 5 month old, don't think it could impove with more time, anyhow I've dumped it, so now i have more bottles and space.
