weggl
I pinched Paul\u2019s Yak on steroids and decided to do a little alteration. Did not have a Real Ale, so I thought bugger it I\u2019ll use a can of LARGER? Cracked one today just 2 weeks in the bottle, what a beer, I reckon better than the commercial. I found the commercial a little overpowering in the Cascade department, so I did this: CAN OF LAGER 1.5 LLME -200 CRYSTAL 30 MIN 20g CASCADE 15M 10 NELSON 15 MIN -15 NELSON FO 8 CASCADE DRY/HOPPED DAY 3 CULTURED YEAST 23L 150 DEX Only 8g Cascade D/ H because that was all I had left. Superb at 2 weeks just think what it will be like at 2 months. The mind boggles.[roll]
Hairy
Just make sure you lock your door from now on or it may not be around in 2 months time. It looks very tasty. Nelson and Cascade were made for each other.
Hairy
I tasted a few of my Sparkling Yaks (see Post #24). At first it tasted a little strange; I think it was a bit sweet. But after 4-5 weeks in the bottle it has settled down a bit and isn't too bad. It is still a little sweet so if I was doing it again I would probably do a hop boil for 15-30 minutes. That would give it a better balance.
