I have bad memories of having to drink cherry flavoured medicine as a young lad - if it stirs up this memory, I'm shot [sick]

If the cherry character is more like Kriek, things should be fine [sideways]

LOL, it wont stir up old memories mate!

its a well balanced beer, and the cherry is subtle.

i shouldve mentioned yesterday, ITS NOT REALLY A WINTER WARMER, but very INTERESTING BEER anyhow!

cheers

matt

p.s. THE MEDICINE WAS CALLED "PANQUIL" PAUL...... ROTTEN STUFF![pinched]

Bought a 6-pack of Malt Runner today[biggrin]

Tonight I sampled; Courage Brewery Directors and Wells BOMBARDIER Premium Bitter. Both brew labels talked their hop and malt characters up more than they presented [roll]

Having some Malt Runner right now!

Not getting the cherry notes (probably because of my slight cold...[devil] )

Getting a fair whack of malt sweetness, can taste the chocolate malt. It's really fizzy.... I'm gonna test the fg with the hydrometer and see what the gravity is.

Not happy with the smell - reminds me of spent grains, two days on, after being spread on the front verge for the birds [pinched]

Quite fizzy with residual sweetness. Struggled to get cherry character.

This beer does not inspire me and I would not attempt to replicate it[sad]

Ok Thirsty,

The FG was around 1.014 which makes the OG about 1.051. (72% attenuation)

If you want to make it probably use a low bitterness kit with a can of dark liquid malt and some more DME to get it up to 1.050.

No extra malt and use lager yeast.

But like Paul said, nothing spaecial.....[crying]
