Carb Drops

Recommended Posts

You use 1 drop per 375ml, so 1250ml/375ml= 3.33333333r. In other words 3 drops per 1.25Ml bottle. I think that should be plenty. Sometimes I've used 1 drop in my King Browns (750ml) and its come out fine, but only if it's an Ale...Lagers not so good. Happy bottln'[happy]

Cheers guys its for a porter got a nice dark cupboard for them just was curious to know how many carb drops i would use but 3 sounds about right i was thinking possibly 4 but then the beers would be way too gassy all good cheers n beers everyone

this priming calculator will help you figure out how many to use, bearing in mind that a carb drop is about 4g of dex (as i understand it).

if it's for a porter, i'd only use 2 drops in a 1.25l bottle. i used one carb drop per 750ml bottle for my chocolate honey porter and it's perfect, i wouldn't have wanted any more in it.
