Wayne (Captain Yobbo) Posted December 31, 2011 Share Posted December 31, 2011 I checked my gravity yesterday and will be checking it again today anyhow it smells like beer but i decided i would taste the brew out of curiosity so i am just wondering it is normal for young beer to taste yeasty? Guest Posted December 31, 2011 Share Posted December 31, 2011 Wayne, there is no need to test every day, I favour an OG test prior to pitching yeast, one test about day 7 and another at about day 10.. all this liquid I can replace when I bulk prime.. more testing than this is not really required and IMO is a waste of good (hopefully) Beer.
