Guest
I have just bought Yeast: The Practical Guide to Beer Fermentation by Chris White and Jamil Zainasheff for a bargain price. I have heard so much about this book i just had to take the plunge. Does anyone else here have it?... I can't wait to read it as apparently it is the beez kneez to yeast. Well a great learning tool anyway [biggrin]
LazyDave
Hey Bill, I'd stick to the best sellers list from now on mate [biggrin] Although if you impart yeasty secrets, I will take back my sarcasm. [love]

Guest
Got delivery of this book today and from what I have read so far it is well worth the $16.98 from The Book Depository delivered to your door. This just opens up a whole new world now. I knew yeast are funny critters but never thought they are so intricate.
Muddy Waters
Read up Bill - You're now our go to guy for yeastie questions [biggrin]
Guest
lol I sure will but I am not the fastest of readers but will get there eventually with so much else happening in RL (young kids etc). ONe bonus is that it appears to be a book where you can read it from front to back and also use it as a reference book whereas you can pick out sections that apply to your requirements. This will be the 1st book I have read since school... hrrrmmm almost 30 years ago now. [pinched]

Muddy Waters
I love books (even the ones without pictures [lol] ) but tend to get bored when they get too sciencey (That is a new word [innocent] ).

Muddy Waters
Too many syllables in the title for me Biermoasta [unsure] Give Me Green Eggs & Ham anyday [lol]
NewtownClown
Good one Bill! I have read great praise for that title. The Authors are craftbrewing Gods (I think another of Jamil's well respected books is Brewing Classic Styles). I am yet to add his titles to my growing library. My favourite 3 that I continue to refer to are How to Brew by John Palmer Radical Brewing by Randy Mosher Designing Great Beers by Ray Daniels
