SparkyBrew
I'm brewing sparkling ale from recipe for the first time and using harvested yeast with brew temp of 21deg C. Brew has been active for 14 days and my final SG wo'nt get lower than 1018. Is this a normal final SG for this recipe. The SG is steady for last 3 days, is the ferment finished? I would normally expect the harvested yeast to get your brew a bit lower. Around 1.012 is more usual when I have used this yeast. However, I did have one finish at 1.017. Bottled and it was fine.
