Beers Gone Wild
Put a brew down and headed off to work, temp controller set to 19c, about 3 or 4 days later I noticed it had locked up and had kept the fridge running, checked the brew temp was on 3c. Thinking the temp would have been ok for 3 or 4 days but then cold crashed. what to do? didn’t take an OG so……
Tone boy
I would bring it back up to 19 degrees to make sure it’s finished. Is your temperature controller working again? Hopefully the yeast will wake up again. I would also try to rouse the yeast up to get it back in suspension. Once your SG is stable for 2 days and at a expected reading I think you can bottle as normal
Journeyman
If the controller is an Inkbird and still locked, as in a restart didn't fix it, you can turn it off, hold the Down Arrow and turn it on while holding it down. Does a reset. Might work on other brands - I figure they'd likely use a common chipset. Edited November 6, 2021 by Journeyman
Beers Gone Wild
Thanks @Tone boy I am trying to get temp up, will give it a few days. If it hasn’t finished and i keg it what’s the worse that can happen? it’s a Keg king controller, had it for 5 years. Ordered an inkbird wifi yesterday.

If it’s not finished you’ll probably end up with an overly sweet beer (depending on how much unfermented sugar is left). It may keep slowly fermenting and pressure build up in the keg? I’m not sure I don’t keg…if it was in bottles the worst that could happen would be bottle bombs I’d get it back up to temp and take a gravity reading and decide from there
Beers Gone Wild
Had it at 19c for a few days, will leave it a few days longer and pop in kegs, see how I go.
