Hi guys,

When you remove the Krausen Kollar after day 3 and replace the lid without it, does the lid need to be clipped on?

I don't bother. The older Coopers fermenter did not have slots to clip it on anyway

The clips only fit the lip of the krausen collar anyway

@Hunty77 The clips will also clip the lid itself to the FV, I use them all the time. 

I never however use the collar.  Did the first time I used the Coopers FV but after that no need unless you are brewing something that is very foamy. 

An overnight soak in perc will get rid of the scum ring without even having to rub it or wipe it down, just rinse off with hot water and re-sanitise ready for next brew.

Keep you collar in the cupboard.
