big handsome Archie
15 days and I notice fv still farting every 10-15 minutes, was getting prepared to bottle tomorrow og was 1044 and 1010 fg 2 days in a row, temp has been steady 19-20 for over a week. I don't want to experience bottle bombs so is it ok to go ahead and bottle or should I wait a bit longer. Thanks Archie.
King Ruddager
No harm in waiting a little longer. Is there any pressing reason you need to bottle sooner?
big handsome Archie
No mate, just wanting to get my stocks up What do you reckon another week?
Otto Von Blotto
Ignore the airlock, it probably finished fermenting a week ago anyway from that OG to FG. Another week in the FV won't be of any benefit really so I'd just bottle it up.
Titan8
Agree with Kelsey here. Many things can influence the airlock. Unstable temp etc. Hydrometer is your best friend. If stable reading for couple days then its usually done. Bottle or keg when you can.
King Ruddager
Well if you have stable readings then bottle away, but stable over three days is better than stable over two days
